Subjected to extensive ageing without a ‘flor’ yeast layer, Oloroso, which roughly translates to ‘fragrant’, is the darkest dry Sherry style renowned for its pronounced nutty, dried fruit qualities, which has influenced the taste of this Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Nose: Nutmeg, heather honey and vanilla extract, with butterscotch, green apple peel, stone fruits and roasted almonds.
Taste: Dried apricots, honeycomb and butterscotch, followed by baking spices, marzipan and caramel, with orchard fruits and citrus on the finish.
